The Concept

The DeadConcepts Plate Carrier was designed with comfort and durability in mind for the end user. Plate bags are constructed with 500D laminate, 500D cordura, and 4 way stretch elastic fabric and are sized for your plate size. Elastic sections at the sides and body side allow the plate bag to stretch to accommodate thicker plates or any padded backers/soft armor the end user would like to run behind their plates.

The front plate bags come with QASM buckles already attached which are covered. The cover on the QASM buckles provides a cleaner overall look while also acting as a cable routing section to eliminate snag hazards. On the outside of the cover there is also a 4x3 molle section with velcro to attach end user devices or patches, along with two 1”x3” pieces of 500D laminate cordura on each side to mount PTT’s.

The rear plate bag features a full molle rear with a flap that covers the rear velcro where the cummerbund is attached. The plate bag also has a pocket in the cummerbund mounting velcro for the excess Curv Thermoplastic of our SSC (Structured Stretch Cummerbund) to slide into, providing structure for heavier loadout. (the front plate bag also has this pocket. If the user wants to be able to slide Curv into both the front and rear plate bag, the SSC can be made to have excess Curv at the front as well) The underside of the molle rear is also open to allow routing of cables/hydration tubes underneath the molle rear to reduce snag hazard and to keep the cables out of sight. The cables would be routed out on either shoulder strap spending on where the user prefers. Currently the rear plate bag does not feature zippers. Since there are so many different back panels, we did not want to add our own proprietary zippers as that limits the options for the end user. Zipper adaptors can be made to accommodate whichever preferred back panel you choose to run.

The shoulder straps are standard hook and loop, and also feature loop on the underside to interact with our SSP (Structured Shoulder Pads) so they do not slide and shift with use.

The molle panels on the front and rear plate bags are constructed from 1000D/500D laminate to ensure their durability.

QD options such as First Spear Tubes can be added to the shoulder straps at an additional cost.
